Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting

The City of New Franklin Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 @ 6:30 PM at the New Franklin City Hall, 5611 Manchester Road, New Franklin, Ohio 44319 to hear the following request: 2024-BZA-01 - Jeffrey D. and Shelly L. Habegger, 4428 Point Comfort Drive, New Franklin, Ohio 44319; requesting the following variance within the R-L (High Density Residential Lakefront Zoning District); from A) Article 6, Section 600.02 of 7 feet 0 inches or (3 feet 0 inches from the east side property line); whereas the City of New Franklin Zoning Code requires a minimum side yard setback of 10 feet 0 inches from either side property line in order to construct a new 50 feet 8 inches X 51 feet 4 ½ inches (approximately 4,344 square feet) in size irregular shaped three level living space addition and interior renovation of the existing dwelling located at the aforementioned address. NOTE: The exterior part of the proposed new addition will only extend approximately 8 feet 0 inches outward from the existing dwelling. Also the individual property parcels shall be consolidated into one parcel as part of this appeals request.

The City of New Franklin Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 @ 6:30 PM at New Franklin City Hall, 5611 Manchester Road, New Franklin, Ohio 44319 to hear the following request: 2024-BZA-02 - Martins Steel Fabrications, Inc, 2115 Center Road, New Franklin, Ohio 44216 requesting a variance within the I-2 (Manufacturing and Storage Zoning District) from A) Article 6, Section 600.02 of 5 feet 5 inches or (44 feet 7 inches from the minimum street frontage setback line); whereas the Zoning Code requires a minimum of 50 feet 0 inches from the street frontage setback line in order to construct a new 50 feet 0 inches wide X 100 feet 0 inches long (5,000 square feet) in size detached industrial storage building to located at the aforementioned address.
